What’s happening in the Nursing Studio with Brittany Winestock, DNP, FNP-BC
Congratulations on another year of success! The readers want to know what sets The Nursing Studio apart from the other educational entities that offer review courses?
The Nursing Studio is an educational resource that acknowledges nursing students and graduates that have test-taking anxiety or have failed boards, respectively. Our mission is to give students a tailored learning experience throughout their nursing journey. I am most grateful for the ability to translate my struggles into a resource to help students who have similar difficulties. I use my story to impact many others and give them hope that they too will be successful on boards and in practice.
How does an entrepreneur who may not see the immediate results of a new business prepare for the growth?
Just like the old adage says “Take things one day at a time.” Often times, we see our vision so clearly and want it to instantly be displayed in that same fashion to our audiences. Well, it doesn’t work that way. So, if you keep your perception and mindset with this in mind, you will learn to trust the journey and to take each step of progression as a win. It will not be easy, but it will definitely be worth it!
What types of services or products do you offer?
We offer live courses, online courses, 1:1 virtual sessions, course books, worksheets, videos, audio, flashcards, study notebooks, and so much more to meet the unique needs of the learner. I also author two books, Nursepreneurs (Trusting My Journey) and the Family Nurse Practitioner Certification Review Book: The Nursing Studio’s FNP Series, where learning is made easy! Both are available on Amazon. In addition, I enjoy speaking at various educational events including pinning ceremonies and more.
At the nursing studio, we share tips and other insights daily on social media, you can connect with us on Facebook and Instagram @thenursingstudio or you can join our NP Board Survival Group to network with others for support and encouragement.
What was the biggest challenge you faced with launching your business?
The biggest challenge that I faced was understanding that everything did not need to be perfect. When I would have a concept in mind, I would spend so much valuable time of perfecting the creation, until I realized my audience loved the concept and my delivery more that perfection of how it was presented. The steps I took to propel forward was to simply get in front of my audience and provide my gift and skillset, which is providing content in manner that is easy to learn, understand, and most of all retain and perfect my craft as I go. I stopped spending all of my time on perfection and started spending it on delivering my gift.
We understand that many lessons are revealed as one takes risks to start a business. For this reason, we ask all of our guests to complete this statement, “If I only knew then…” to encourage readers that growth comes from learning from one’s mistakes.
If I only knew then that perfection was not the key to success but consistency, I would be further along in my business. Your audience wants consistency. Your brand is built from what you consistently provide. This is what gives your credibility. My advice, consistently show up where you work, what you strive for, and watch things change for the better.
